What We've Learned
After our first Paperganza, we learned something important: the connections people made were just as valuable as the crafting itself. Attendees told us they wanted ways to stay in touch and continue sharing ideas after the event ended. That feedback shaped what Paperganza is becoming – not just a weekend event, but a community that lasts all year.
Our Community Forum
Several attendees from our first event asked if there was a way to keep the conversation going after the weekend ended. They wanted to share project updates, ask each other questions, and stay connected between events.
So we built a community forum. It's a simple space where you can ask questions, get help with projects, and chat with other crafters who understand why we spend hours perfecting that one fold. Come say hi – we'd love to get to know you before the next event!
The Pod Experience
At Paperganza, you'll craft at "pods" – eight-person tables designed to give everyone plenty of workspace while making it easy to chat and share. Your pod becomes your home base for the weekend, and the people at your table often become friends you'll stay in touch with long after the event.
The schedule has a nice rhythm to it. There are instructor-led classes where you can learn new techniques, plus open crafting time for working on projects, practicing what you learned, or just chatting while you create. It's structured enough to keep things moving but flexible enough that you never feel rushed.
Special Events
Friday night features a live taping of Craft Roulette – if you've watched the show, you know how fun and unpredictable it can be. Saturday's "In Revue: Mystery Gala Dinner" is... well, we can't tell you much about it (hence the mystery), but there's good food and entertainment involved. Both events are included with your weekend pass.
Location & Food
We're in Kansas City, which sits right in the middle of the country – making it equally convenient whether you're flying in from the East Coast, West Coast, or anywhere in between. The venue is close to the airport, and meals are included throughout the event. You won't need to worry about finding food or leaving the venue unless you want to.
